DBA Specialist Key Responsibilities :

Design and Implementation of the database and associated processes as well as backup platforms that underlay and supports.
The DBA Specialist will typically perform project roles including DB dimensioning, configuring and tuning; they can also participate in pre-sales and requirements definition processes, including customer workshops if appropriate.
Carry out general DB/Unix administration work on both in-house and customer DB platforms
Works closely with the development team ensuring consistency of database structure across the deployed solutions. Including review of schema designs and performance of database queries.
Is a technical expert on database, storage and backup solution elements.
Are database experts and therefore have a key role to identify and implement practices, skills etc to deliver constant improvement. Quality Assurance, coaching and mentoring form a key part of the DBA role. Can be a customer-oriented role and participates in delivering solutions worldwide.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree from reputable majoring in telecommunications/computing field.
Experience with network and multimedia components in mobile, fixed, or internet telecommunications environments.
Experience with Unix (Solaris), including scripting (shell, Perl, Python, etc.)
Good knowledge of Oracle and/ or generic SQL database concepts, operation and scripting.
